Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, offering a flexible work setting while allowing you to serve patients through our outpatient office. You will mainly engage with patients through teletherapy sessions, ensuring continuity of care while providing vital support. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that take into account the interplay between psychiatric and medical issues, leading to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment strategies that address the specific psychiatric needs of patients facing medical challenges, including chronic pain and substance use disorders.

• Provide individualized and group therapy sessions, using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate emotional and psychological healing.

• Collaborate routinely with medical providers to coordinate care, ensuring a unified approach in managing patient health outcomes.

• Respond to crises effectively by providing immediate support and intervention during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about the critical link between mental and physical health, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all federal and state guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from dual diagnoses such as mental health disorders alongside chronic physical ailments, autoimmune disorders, and substance use problems. This targeted approach allows you to make a tangible impact in their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Proficiency in understanding and addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.

• Demonstrated experience working within integrated healthcare settings, effectively collaborating with medical personnel.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport with patients and colleagues alike.

• Strong ethical standards, maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

• Familiarity with EHR systems is essential for documenting treatment and patient interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years’ direct experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally involving integrated care practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
