What You'll Do

• Traffic Control Direct and manage traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios to keep work zones safe.
• Setup & Removal Place cones, signs, and barricades according to state standards and company procedures.
• Site Monitoring Watch road conditions and adjust traffic patterns to maintain a safe environment.
• Communication Coordinate with crews, supervisors, and the public to ensure smooth operations.
• Daily Dispatch Use a mobile app to receive assignments and travel to job sites within ~1 hour of the central shop.
• Training Complete a 34 hour traffic control training course before orientation.

Essential Skills

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work 100% outdoors in all weather
• Ability to stand long periods and lift 3050 lbs
• Professional, calm communication with the public
• Flagging certification (ATSSA) or willingness to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

• Flagging Experience Prior traffic control or construction experience is a plus
• ATSSA Certification Highly desirable and may waive training
• Roadway/Utility Experience Helpful but not required
• Safety Gear Steel/composite toe boots above the ankle required

Work Environment

This role is 100% outdoors in active roadway and construction zones. You'll work in heat, cold, rain, and snow, MondayFriday with occasional Saturdays. After a one-day orientation in Greentree, PA, you'll be dispatched daily from home via the mobile app to job sites within about a one-hour radius.
