About the Position

We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Springfield, Oregon . This position offers a full time schedule with a combination of inpatient & outpatient procedures and clinic coverage. The physician will join an established GI team and care for adult patients.

• Provide inpatient & outpatient Gastroenterology services
• Perform GI procedures in the endoscopy/GI lab
• Conduct approximately 15 patient encounters per day
• Perform EGD, colonoscopy & flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Perform polypectomy, biopsy, endoscopic hemostasis & stricture dilation
• Perform foreign body removal & Argon Plasma Coagulation
• Perform PEG placement & replacement
• Perform ERCP including sampling, stent placement, stone extraction & dilation
• Perform EUS with interventions
• Manage capsule endoscopy, esophageal manometry & Bravo pH testing
• Round on patients & provide appropriate admissions care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

Requirements

• MD/DO with Gastroenterology specialization
• Active Oregon license not required at submission
• Willingness to obtain Oregon licensure
• Board Certification/Eligibility as required
• BLS certification required
• Advanced GI training required
• Recent Gastroenterology clinical experience with applicable case logs
• Ability to perform the procedures listed in the assignment

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• 8 hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Approximately 6 month assignment
• No call required
• Combination of inpatient & outpatient coverage
