About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, D2C Fan Engagement to lead a pivotal role within its global D2C organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for making D2C marketing a continuous and integral part of the company's strategy, with a focus on fan engagement across the artist roster. This role demands a deep understanding of music fan behavior, artist marketing, and D2C commerce ecosystems. The VP will be accountable for the quality and commercial performance of D2C fan engagement, and for building and maintaining relationships with label marketing, creative, and commerce teams. A key aspect of the position is the ability to influence without authority, as the team operates in a collaborative, proposal-based manner with the labels. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in fan engagement, D2C marketing, CRM, eCommerce, merchandising, or digital marketing, preferably within a high-volume, multi-stakeholder environment. The role requires a candidate with a global mindset, strong creative instincts, and a passion for music, fandom, and culture. The VP will lead a small, specialized team and must be adept at operating through influence, with a proven track record of enabling distributed teams. Responsibilities include establishing D2C design systems, visual and email standards, and leading the team in producing D2C creative assets. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in lifecycle marketing, CRM platforms, and D2C performance marketing, with the ability to build and execute D2C campaigns that resonate with fans across different markets.
