Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education, the RAC Operations Manager provides strategic leadership, oversight, and administration of all Burrell Regional Academic Centers (RACs). The RAC Operations Manager ensures adequate capacity, retention, and development of precepting faculty for third- and fourth-year clerkships while promoting the mission and visibility of the RACs within the college and the broader medical community. The RAC Operations Manager serves as the primary liaison with Regional Assistant Deans (RADs), Institutional Advancement, Faculty Affairs, hospital partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. This position requires high-level strategic planning, program development, and operational oversight to ensure compliance with college policies, curriculum standards, and COCA requirements.

• This position is Exempt.
• This position reports to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education.
• This is a fully remote position, applicants must reside in the state of Florida.
• The starting salary for this position is $60,000 Annually depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide executive leadership and direction for the RACs, ensuring alignment with the college’s mission, policies, and accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the capacity, quality, and sustainability of RAC programs.
• Lead initiatives to promote equitable educational opportunities and strengthen the school’s presence at each RAC site.
• Serve as the primary advisor to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education on RAC-related policy, planning, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with RADs to recruit, retain, and develop clinical faculty across the RACs.
• Provide administrative oversight of faculty development programs, ensuring alignment with best practices in clinical education.
• Approve faculty appointments, evaluate faculty performance, and recommend professional development initiatives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other partner institutions to support student rotations, orientation, and affiliation agreements.
• Review and approve student schedules in collaboration with RADs, ensuring compliance with Burrell curriculum, policies, procedures, and COCA standards.
• Monitor and approve capacity for each RAC by core specialty to ensure optimal learning experiences.
• Oversee planning and execution of RAC Day on campus and other events supporting RAC visibility and engagement.
• Facilitate annual RAC inspections and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership and accreditation purposes.
• Work closely with Institutional Advancement to promote RACs to prospective students, donors, and the broader community.
• Act as a primary liaison between RACs and college leadership, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
• Support initiatives to secure scholarships, resources, and recognition for RAC programs.
• Function as a secondary supervisor for Regional Academic Center Coordinators and provide guidance to other RAC staff as directed.
• Establish operational procedures, performance standards, and accountability measures for RAC personnel.
• Serve as a college representative for RAC-related matters at local, state, and national meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Clinical Education.

Other skills important to this position:

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage clinical education operations across multiple Regional Academic Centers (RACs). 
• Strong working knowledge of medical education, clinical clerkship operations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements. 
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures, performance standards, and accountability measures. 
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and collaboration skills with faculty, staff, hospital and clinical partners, and internal stakeholders. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, support change management, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use clinical education, scheduling, reporting, and data-management systems. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  Work Schedule :

• Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
