Maine Solutions FCU is beginning its search for a new leader as part of the strategic implementation of its succession plan, following the upcoming retirement of its current President/CEO.

Located in South Portland, Maine Solutions FCU is a $21 million, single-branch credit union established in 1966. The credit union serves individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Cumberland and York Counties. Maine Solutions FCU is committed to excellence through high-quality, personalized member service.

Position Responsibilities:

The President/CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and success of the credit union.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing leadership and accountability for all credit union operations and business relationships.
• Presenting recommendations, financial results, key performance metrics, and data analytics to the Board of Directors.
• Developing and managing the annual budget while ensuring adherence to strategic goals, policies, and procedures.
• Fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and service excellence.
• Preparing and submitting all required regulatory reports and compliance documentation.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with members, potential members, community partners, and the credit union industry.
• Negotiating contracts for purchases, services, and vendor relationships.
• Ensuring the safety and security of all credit union assets, records, collateral, investments, and data.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible credit union experience, providing exposure to a broad range of credit union operations, disciplines, and leadership responsibilities.
• Strong financial and fiscal management expertise.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
• The ability to prioritize, delegate, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high-quality results.
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
