Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Generalist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Waukesha, Wisconsin facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures. The role involves specimen evaluation, instrument operation, quality control, and technical decision-making in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and process samples according to established protocols
- Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and controls; document preventative maintenance
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution to ensure accurate results
- Maintain safe work environment and manage laboratory supplies as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Minimum one year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills
