Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Williamsburg, Virginia. The clinic is designed to facilitate various treatment methods and approaches for diverse patient populations. You will be working closely with physicians, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to assess their physical function, limitations, and individual needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with physicians' orders and consider each patient's unique physical capabilities and health goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to achieve optimal patient outcomes, including hands-on therapies, exercises, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment protocols as necessary to enhance recovery and rehabilitation.
• Supervise the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) in providing care and ensure it aligns with established treatment goals.
• Maintain precise records of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to devise comprehensive intervention strategies for shared patients.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education on therapeutic activities and recommend home exercises to bolster recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population ranging from post-operative individuals to those recovering from acute injuries or chronic conditions. You will be involved in improving the functional abilities and quality of life for patients across various age groups, helping them regain independence and return to everyday activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in a clinical physical therapy setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and other computer applications related to patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team is a plus.
• Specialized training in therapeutic techniques such as aquatic therapy, manual therapy, or orthopedics.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation technologies and methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
