Client Overview:

Our client is an established and rapidly growing NJ-based event & brand management organization that is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$26/hr - $28/hr

Position Overview:

The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be reporting and working with multiple departments. The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for full-cycle AR and AP, as well as any duties the Executive Director requests. This role will start at 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Accounts Payable, including purchase orders and vendor account management.
• Accounts Receivable: monthly invoices and handling vendor records.
• Numerous bank reconciliations for depository accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Assist with the annual budget and auditing process.
• Reconciliations: balance sheets and journal entries.
• Set up new vendor accounts.
• Prepare and review expense reports.

Required Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or related software.
• 3 - 5 years minimum of full-charge bookkeeper experience.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Team player with strong analytical skills.
• Thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to complete tasks promptly independent of supervisors.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Advanced Excel experience is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Associate's degree and/or relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree is a plus.
