Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Rooted Life LLC, your noteworthy responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough diagnostic screenings of patients using a variety of evidence-based assessments and screening tools to determine their mental health needs.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical records while adhering to all compliance guidelines.

• Delivering individual, group, and family counseling sessions, focusing on tailored treatment plans and coordinating family or resource visitation when appropriate.

• Engaging with other healthcare providers as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop recommendations and referrals for ongoing care, ensuring comprehensive case management.

• Performing safety and risk assessments and providing crisis intervention as necessary to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Educating family members on treatment processes, coping strategies, and resources while encouraging their active involvement in the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Licensed Mental Health Counselor, applicants must hold:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid and appropriate Florida license (LMHC) enabling independent practice.

• At least two years of experience working in mental health settings, particularly within outpatient clinics.

Preferred Experience

• Expertise in trauma-informed care and familiarity with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) or cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The financial compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to above-market salaries for our providers.
