Silver Linings Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position is primarily remote in nature, allowing for flexibility in your practice while providing exceptional care to clients. The successful candidate will conduct evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic interventions that address the diverse mental health needs of our clients, primarily on an outpatient basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and maintain detailed case documentation from initial client consultations through the entire treatment process.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans for a variety of client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Deliver effective therapy through individual and group sessions, employing established therapeutic techniques to facilitate healing.
\n
• Track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Coordinate with other health care professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to formulate integrated intervention strategies.
\n
• Maintain follow-up communication with healthcare providers for any clients requiring hospitalization or specialized care.
\n
• Assist clients and their families in recognizing and addressing mental health challenges, promoting a supportive home environment conducive to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Our practice acknowledges the importance of cultural competence and tailoring our approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• A comprehensive passing score on the NCE and/or the NCMHCE.
\n
• Previous experience in a counseling role, providing a solid foundation to navigate complex client cases.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Strong understanding of the interplay between physical and mental health, including familiarity with addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is preferred.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to connect effectively with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities coupled with a compassionate approach to counseling.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in developing and implementing group therapy sessions is highly valued.
\n
• Previous work in an outpatient mental health setting is advantageous.
\n
• Exposure to trauma-informed care practices and techniques for engaging clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers an attractive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus.
