Loan OfficerCountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Loan Officer to help grow our Originations Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. As a Loan Officer, you will collaborate with Loan Processors, Underwriting, Compliance team and other essential departments. The Loan Officer will be responsible for managing relationships with retailers and other partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a deep understanding of lending products, and the ability to guide borrowers through the loan process with professionalism and care.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage relationships with assigned retailers by originating loans and providing high quality serviceProvide excellent service to borrowers ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and accurate mannerGuide borrowers through the loan process, from application to closingPresent and explain different loan options to borrowers and retailersEffectively communicate denial reasons to the retailer, to effectively maintain the relationshipEffectively communicate loan approval to retailer and customer, selling benefits of our program to win the dealWork with internal staff to provide follow-up, counter offers and additional informationReviews conditions submitted on approved loans, clears conditions when appropriate and submits to Credit Analyst for review and approvalEnsure loans adhere to investor guidelinesDisplay excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to adjust work and thought process to accommodate multiple investor guidelinesEmploy a strong sense of urgency and ownershipDemonstrate a professional work ethic in all facets of completing work dutiesConsistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectivesPerform other duties and special projects as assignedPosition Requirements, Capabilities and Skills:Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-taskAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerEffective decision-making, customer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independentlyStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively in a team environmentMinimum Qualifications:BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance or ManagementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial calculatorWe Offer:Competitive Salary plus bonusMedical/Dental/Vision InsurancePaid Holidays401K MatchGenerous PTOFSA/HSA PlansLife /Disability/Accidental Insurance and much more!Travel Required: No
