Accounting Assistant

Overview Fit Recruiting seeks an organized and detailed Accounting Assistant with strong QuickBooks skills to join a growing professional team in Mobile, Alabama. This position will support the firm's day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliation, financial reporting, and client bookkeeping tasks. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Salary is in the $45K range, depending on experience, with competitive benefits. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial records in QuickBooks Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist with month-end and year-end closings Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries for clients and senior accountants Assist with billing and client payroll processing Support CPAs and senior team members with various accounting projects and administrative tasks Communicate with clients regarding documentation, deadlines, and clarifications Qualifications 2+ years of accounting experience Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online Strong understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping practices Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite programs Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Administrative Industries Legal Services Accounting Law Practice #J-18808-Ljbffr
