2026 Parks Maintenance Specialist I - Seasonal

Job Overview The City of Oregon City is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of temporary/seasonal Parks and Cemetery Maintenance Specialist (non‑union, no benefits) within the Parks and Cemetery Division. Salary:

• 21.00 per hour for new hires
• 22.00 per hour for returning seasonal employees
• 24.00 per hour for those who hold a valid CDL

Duration and work hours: Temporary/seasonal positions can last up to 6 months. Work hours vary and may include weekends. Responsibilities Perform skilled and general labor tasks such as field mowing, detention facility maintenance, roadside vegetation control, grounds maintenance, pressure washing, truck driving, and limited equipment operation. Maintain public access grounds, gardens, and sports/play fields. Maintain safe working environments and communicate courteously with staff and the general public. Work with a team or individually with minimal supervision. Hold a clean driving record. Qualifications We will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, certifications, and experience that meets the minimum position qualifications.
