Position Summary

FLSA Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Location/Branch: Rowland Heights, CA preferred and will consider Irvine, Arcadia, and Alhambra will be considered.

The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely documentation, boarding, and ongoing processing of commercial loans throughout the loan lifecycle. This position works closely with lending, loan operations, and accounting teams to ensure loan transactions are properly documented, recorded, and maintained in accordance with Bank policies and applicable requirements. The role serves as an important quality-control point by identifying and resolving exceptions, supporting accurate loan records and reconciliations, and helping improve loan processing practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of processes through completion.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (Duties not limited to those provided here):

• Prepare, review, and coordinate the execution of commercial loan documentation using LaserPro and other approved systems. Ensure documentation accurately reflects the approved Credit Approval Request (CAR), underwriting and approval conditions, Bank policies and procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the accurate and timely boarding of new loans, renewals, extensions, modifications, advances, and other loan transactions to the Bank's core system, including completion and documentation of post-boarding reviews and call-backs.
• Perform post-closing and servicing activities, including maintenance of loan records, processing and documentation of subsequent transactions, and preparation of payoff demand statements, certifications, and other loan-related documentation.
• Serve as a key quality-control point for commercial loan operations by reviewing loan boarding, transactions, payments, and exception reports; identifying and coordinating correction of errors and exceptions; tracking outstanding items through resolution or escalation as appropriate; and perform monthly certification.
• Work collaboratively with Loan Operations, Accounting, and other departments to ensure loan transactions and balances are accurately reflected in the Bank's systems and reconciled to the general ledger.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process, procedure, training, and control improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of loan operations.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, FHLB reviews, and other loan-related reviews.
• Maintain current knowledge of loan policies and procedures, documentation requirements, applicable regulations, and operational practices.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations and Bank policies, procedures, internal controls, information security, and training requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, accounting, finance, or related field required
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or portfolio management required
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, proficiency on core banking systems with CSI preferred, familiarity with Laserpro.
• Detail oriented with excellent communication and time management skills.
• Fluency in second language, particularly Mandarin, preferred but not required.
