Winter 2027 Assistant Project Management Bootcamp (West Coast) We are looking for Assistant Project Managers to join our Winter 2027 APM Bootcamp. If you are passionate about building great projects and exploring new places, thrive in dynamic environments, and are excited to travel, we want you to be part of our dedicated project teams. The APM Bootcamp is a structured 15‑week program designed to integrate new APMs into the Aldridge project lifecycle. The training combines classroom instruction, interactive activities, and on‑the‑job mentorship. Participants will gain the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed and contribute effectively to our projects. The program includes 6 weeks of classroom instruction and 9 weeks of on‑the‑job site experience. Classroom sessions are held in Illinois, mainly at our Des Plaines office, with occasional sessions at Lake Forest headquarters. The schedule generally follows a pattern of one classroom week followed by two job‑site weeks, with occasional variations such as consecutive classroom weeks or a three‑week job‑site rotation. Successful completion leads to a full‑time role on an assigned project. Aldridge currently operates in 32 states. Job Purpose Support project teams throughout the project life cycle to ensure quality projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while fostering a work environment that reflects Aldridge’s Core Values. What you’ll do Promote safe job sites and work closely with Safety personnel to ensure all safety concerns are properly addressed. Support Project Management with essential project duties including cost and labor tracking, document control, material submittals, subcontractor management, contract compliance, schedule adherence, and project closeout. Support Field Leadership with essential project duties including project planning / WBS creation meetings, material logistics, subcontractor coordination, customer communications, productivity tracking, and internal department coordination. Cultivate strong working relationships and promote effective teamwork among Aldridge and partners. Adopt established Aldridge processes and guidelines. Who you are Willing to travel. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or a related major, or equivalent construction or trade background. Internship or other relevant work experience preferred. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities and creatively solve problems. Ability to travel to job sites as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excels at time management and prioritization, consistently meeting deadlines. Adaptable and willing to embrace new challenges. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications. Positive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment. What we offer The annual base pay for this role is between $80,000–$90,000. Pay depends on factors such as location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. Roles may also be eligible for a bonus.
