Treatment Coordinator

Description About the Role Texas OMS is seeking a personable, detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to serve as the vital link between our surgeons, patients, and referring offices. This role guides patients through every step of their surgical journey — from consultation through treatment completion — ensuring clarity, comfort, and confidence at each stage. Prior experience in oral surgery or dental practice is a plus but not required. Requirements Key Responsibilities Greet patients and provide concierge-level customer service in person, by phone, and electronically Present treatment plans to patients, explaining recommended procedures in clear, accessible terms Prepare and present cost estimates and financial arrangements prior to treatment Verify and maintain patient insurance information; explain coverage and out-of-pocket costs Collect patient payments and manage financial agreements Schedule and coordinate surgical appointments to optimize the doctor's schedule Communicate with referring dental and medical offices regarding patient treatment status Partner closely with clinical staff to ensure a seamless, coordinated patient experience Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA Follow up with patients on pending treatment plans and outstanding balances Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred Previous experience in a dental, oral surgery, or medical office strongly preferred Familiarity with dental/medical terminology, CDT coding, and insurance processes a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable discussing treatment and finances with patients Proficiency with practice management software (e.g., Dolphin, Dentrix, Open Dental) and general computer skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and genuine compassion for patient care What We Offer Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays No weekends or evenings Growth opportunities within a supportive, team-oriented practice Allied OMS is a doctor-owned, doctor-led, and doctor-governed management services organization (MSO) in the oral and maxillofacial surgery space that combines the best of private practice with the best of private equity.
