Operations Manager
California Correctional Health Care Services
Under the general direction of the Chief Deputy Director, the Supervisor I (Sup I) serves as the Operations Manager for the Department of Health Care Access and Information Director's Office. The incumbent is responsible for managing the office's operations, service portfolio, and department staff engagement plan. Supports the department's staff and leadership engagement planning process and leads cross-departmental collaboration efforts focused on creating alignment and implementing best practices. As a representative of the Directorate, the incumbent works in partnership with the offices to support the Department's program objectives.
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. - Experience in leading cross-functional teams, ability to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, and interacting with individuals at all levels professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and establish workload priorities to meet critical time frames.
- Two years of experience working in an executive-level office.
- At least 3 years of experience providing analytical and preparative services in regards to reports, documents and procedures.
- At least 3 years communication experience including verbal, written and email correspondence, memos and proofreading.
- At least 10 years working in a customer service related field.
- 5 years experience in sourcing, developing, and implementing best practices across various departments.
- 5 years experience fostering a work environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 5 years experience in training, developing and mentoring team members.
