Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute pharmaceutical expertise in a Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order environment. The position operates during weekday day shifts with a consistent schedule, providing a focused and impactful setting to support patient care and medication management.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend on call
• Duration: 8-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with regulations
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of over-usage
• Ensure medications prescribed are appropriate and legally supplied
• Maintain confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer inquiries
• Provide consultations on prescription and OTC medications including storage, dosage, and drug interactions
• Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management education
• Train patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following all protocols
• Supervise pharmacy team members including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor inventory levels and manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacy license is required
• Proven pharmacy experience with a strong preference for LTC and Mail Order background
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively advise patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
