Administrative Assistant - Purchasing

Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week
Hybrid Opportunity: Work from home 1-2 days per week after 60-90 days of training.

We're looking for an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our client's Purchasing and Supply Chain team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right individual. The company offers excellent career advancement opportunities, with the potential to move into other departments as you grow your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new item numbers using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders and order confirmations.
  • Calculate product markups and complete pricing worksheets.
  • Submit pricing templates to the pricing team.
  • Maintain purchasing tracking spreadsheets.
  • Update and delete purchase orders and item numbers as needed.
  • Update website pricing using Excel.
  • Add, remove, and update customer and restaurant information.
  • Scan receiving documents and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing department.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience required
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or a related field is preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle or another ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
