School Physical Therapist | Boston, Massachusetts

Bring your passion for pediatric physical therapy to a dynamic educational environment this Extended School Year! Just outside Boston, this contract opportunity is perfect for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact on K-12 students. Work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to help students maximize their mobility and access to curriculum during the ESY period from July 6, 2025, through August 7, 2025. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule-with 30 hours per week, 6 hours each day, Monday through Friday-for a fantastic work-life balance during the summer.


Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts
• Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with K-12 populations strongly preferred
• Safe Care Certification highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability to work with diverse learners and staff
• Ability to implement creative interventions tailored to a student's individualized education plan (IEP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students as identified in IEPs
• Conduct student assessments, develop intervention plans, and regularly track progress
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to foster holistic student development
• Consult with teachers and staff on strategies to support student mobility and participation in school activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all school policies and state regulations
