This position offers a chance to positively impact an array of individuals through an engaging mix of outpatient therapy and occasional inpatient care. Whatever your focus be it pediatric language skills, adult neurological communication challenges, or geriatric rehabilitation you'll find a fulfilling and supportive home here.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
Create individualized treatment plans tailored to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care strategies.
Educate patients and families to facilitate and maintain progress beyond therapy sessions.
Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, fostering continuity in patients' care pathways.
Document all clinical interactions accurately and promptly, aligning with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
Remain at the forefront of the field by pursuing continuing education and engaging in professional collaboration.
Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised clinical fellowship year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensing as a speech language pathologist.
Certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic life support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, alongside a profound understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity to patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to honor cultural and linguistic diversity.
Strong clinical judgment and effective problem-solving capabilities.
Proficient in managing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
