Role Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients through standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment strategies targeting immediate goals while also addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to formulate comprehensive and effective care plans.
• Educate patients and families to bolster progress beyond the therapy environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring consistent care and progression throughout the treatment continuum.
• Document all findings and interventional strategies with accuracy and in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continued education and peer collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology accredited by a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within the first month of employment.
