Responsibilities

• Assess patients across all age ranges through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions predominantly focused on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to cultivate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, ensuring they can further facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, guaranteeing seamless care along the treatment journey.
• Ensure comprehensive and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of innovations in the field through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet acquired ASHA certification.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a speech language therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
