Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing both the immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting various aspects of speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge unified care strategies.
• Provide comprehensive education for patients and families to nurture progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Engage in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation aligning with requisite state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
