Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.

• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects of communication including language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare practitioners including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Keep accurate and timely records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay ahead in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not achieved ASHA certification.

Licenses & Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification required within a month of starting position.
