Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies focusing on immediate goals and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized therapy sessions with a keen focus on enhancing communication, language comprehension, fluency, voice proficiency, and swallowing capabilities.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing personnel, physicians, caregivers, and relatives to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide necessary education to patients and families to bolster ongoing progress outside the clinical environment.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Uphold precise and timely documentation compliant with state regulations, federal guidelines, and institutional policies.
• Remain abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferably possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
