Description

• Assess patients of varying agespediatric, adult, and geriatricutilizing both standardized tests and direct observation.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies to meet immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions centered on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, families, and caregivers to design integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress in their daily lives.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Keep accurate and timely records, meeting all necessary federal, state, and organizational documentation standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay abreast of innovations in the field.

Educational Background

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet credentialed by ASHA.

Licensure and Certifications

• Possession of state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of commencing employment.
