Key Responsibilities Welcome to the core of what being a Host is all about! Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day: Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner Seats all guests in a timely and courteous fashion, clears extra settings if not needed, and presents menu to each guest Answers phone ad take reservations using professional language Volunteers Hotel information to guests, and must be knowledgeable about other restaurants, shops, locations on property Communicates with kitchen and team members to ensure steady flow of dining guests Maintains waiting list of guests, be aware and know what tables are available, who is covering each section and how to seat guests alternately in each section Requirements Here's exactly what you need to excel in this role: The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves): Good food and service knowledge Excellent communication skills Ability to multitask and plan/maintain seating arrangements for guests The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Haves): Past experience in similar capacity, hotel preference preferred Has taken a Food/Alcohol Handler’s course We've kept it short and sweet – just the essentials you'll need.
