Legal Intake Coordinator

We are an established Chicago family law firm seeking to expand our intake team and are seeking an empathetic and detail-oriented individual to serve as the point of first contact for potential clients.Do you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.A few things we love about our firm:*We truly enjoy working with each other and have a collegial and collaborative environment.*We are primarily remote but we maintain office space in the loop for attorneys and staff to use as needed.*We encourage our employees to travel, work remotely if desired and enjoy a very healthy work-life balance.*This position allows for continued growth and learning, with training and opportunities to expand your skill set.*Firm outings that are actually fun (usually 3-4 x per year) – Cubs games, Chicago River cruise, holiday party extraordinaireCompensation: $50,000-$60,000 (commensurate with experience)Responsibilities:Lead EngagementRespond to inbound leads by phone and email within a timely manner; act as a welcoming, professional point of contact.Client QualificationConduct intake screening calls to assess legal needs, determine case eligibility, and guide clients through next steps.Sales-Conscious IntakeExplain services, pricing, and the consultation process confidently and with empathy.Appointment SchedulingCoordinate and schedule consultations and ensure thorough documentation in client intake systems.Pipeline ManagementMaintain up-to-date records in the client intake system, ensure follow-ups are timely, and monitor lead progression.Performance ReportingTrack and report on lead conversion metrics; identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improving intake outcomes.Legal AdminPerform miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed, including spreadsheet management, data entry, and issuing draft bills.Qualifications:Enjoys talking with people; empathetic nature and highly emotionally intelligent to ensure potential clients feel heard.Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and target-driven.Tech-savvy; experience with legal intake software (preferably Clio) is an asset.Reliable and trustworthy; shows up on time and responds to emails and calls promptly.Proven track record in qualifying and converting profitable leads, including handling intake in a sales or customer experience role.Background in the legal industry preferred.Must reside in Illinois or Indiana, but the role is remote. xhyhwjd Please submit resume and a cover letter through LinkedIn (merged as one PDF).
