Work Environment This is a full-time remote position with a standard Monday to Friday work schedule, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, culturally competent mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique background, strengths, and areas for growth. Develop and implement customized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions that respect patients’ cultural and personal contexts. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing specific mental health concerns, enhancing coping mechanisms, and promoting overall well-being. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and treatment plans. Provide immediate crisis intervention support for patients experiencing mental health emergencies, thereby acting swiftly and effectively to ensure their safety and security. Offer educational resources and guidance to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources. Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of sessions to meet legal, ethical, and organizational standards. Participate actively in case conferences and contribute to ongoing cultural competency training, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care. Remain updated on current research and advancements in mental health treatment to provide informed and relevant care. Patient Population / Client Focus Our ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population ranging from adolescents to adults, many of whom might be experiencing complex mental health issues due to cultural, economic, or social factors. By applying a culturally informed lens to treatment, therapists are able to tailor approaches that truly resonate with individuals from varied backgrounds. Qualifications A completed Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program. A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia. A deep understanding of mental health disorders coupled with evidence-based treatment modalities, especially those focusing on culturally responsive care. Demonstrable experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with proven culturally sensitive methodologies. Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure during challenging situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for building rapport with diverse populations. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications to ensure efficient documentation and patient tracking. A steadfast commitment to ethical guidelines and professional boundaries, maintaining confidentiality at all levels. Courage and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience working in community health settings or outpatient mental health facilities. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and protocols. Continued involvement in professional development and training, particularly in social justice or diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives related to mental health. Compensation and Benefits The yearly salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
