Document Control Specialist

$23 - $30 per hour

Location: Los Angeles, CA | Schedule: Full-Time | Contract & Contract-to-Hire | Pay Rate: $23-$30/hr (based on experience) Overview We are seeking experienced Document Control Specialists to support municipal and public works projects across Los Angeles. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely management of project documentation. Key Responsibilities Maintain and manage project documentation in accordance with client and regulatory standards Track, log, distribute, and file all incoming and outgoing documents Ensure strict version control and document accuracy across all project records Manage document control systems and maintain organized digital and physical filing structures Support project teams with document retrieval, reporting, and audit preparation Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely document flow Monitor deadlines and ensure all documentation aligns with project schedules and compliance requirements Required Qualifications 2+ years of document control experience within construction, engineering, utilities, or public works Hands‑on experience with document management systems such as Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, Bluebeam, or similar Strong understanding of document lifecycle, version control, and audit compliance Experience managing RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project records High level of attention to detail and organizational accuracy Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting municipal or government‑funded projects Familiarity with public works compliance standards and documentation requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
