This position is remote, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home. Our telehealth platform is designed for seamless communication, ensuring you have all the necessary tools to provide outstanding care. You will work Monday through Friday, without the demand for evenings or weekends, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Great Lake Behavioral Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging sessions that promote peer connection and shared learning among clients, encouraging a supportive community.

• Providing Individual Counseling: Deliver personalized sessions where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, guiding them toward coping strategies and achievable action plans.

• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that are informed by their goals and preferences, emphasizing a tailored approach to care.

• Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress using standardized tools, allowing for adaptations to treatment strategies based on evolving needs.

• Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Consult with fellow clinicians, case managers, and support staff to ensure holistic client care, addressing any complex cases as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. This age group often grapples with significant life transitions and emotional struggles, requiring your empathy and expertise to guide them through their journeys. Through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), you will help clients unlock their potential and foster resilience, contributing to their long-term mental health success.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.

• A valid LPC license from the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate genuine empathy and understanding for clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience with telehealth services is a plus but not required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in youth counseling, crisis intervention, and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches will greatly enhance your contributions. A foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or similar modalities is advantageous for effectively addressing the challenges faced by our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
