Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time capacity, working remotely from Longview, Texas. The primary focus of this role is to provide therapeutic interventions to promote the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes focusing on diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, and recommend treatment plans to primary care providers.

• Provide brief, focused therapeutic interventions for clients in need of immediate mental health services.
\n
• Collaborate with primary care providers to determine patient needs, referring clients to specialized mental health facilities as necessary.
\n
• Monitor patient progress through follow-up consultations, adjusting treatment strategies as indicated to ensure effective care.
\n
• Develop and implement relapse prevention plans to help patients maintain stability.
\n
• Detect and address at-risk patients, formulating preventive strategies and caring for their behavioral health needs.
\n
• Document patient progress, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans in clinical records to maintain continuity of care.
\n
• Educate patients on self-management skills and empower them to take an active role in their recovery.
\n
• Consult with clinic management regarding service evaluation and areas for program improvement.
\n
• Guide patients to comply with primary care protocols and offer strategies for managing treatment-related concerns, including medication side effects.

• Adhere to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and engage in ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. This includes children, adolescents, and adults dealing with behavioral health issues, emotional disturbances, and psychosocial stressors. By focusing on individualized care, you'll support patients from varied backgrounds and with different life experiences, addressing both immediate mental health needs and broader community health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• Active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license to practice in Texas.

• Proficiency in mental health assessment methods, treatment planning, and knowledge of DSM-IV diagnostic criteria.

• Strong understanding of family therapy, group therapy, and techniques specific to child psychotherapy.

• Demonstrable skills in behavioral therapy modalities and psychodiagnostics.

Preferred Experience\n

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Experience working within a community health setting or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) context is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a sign-on bonus to eligible candidates and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
