Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting case histories from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop and implement effective intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that promote healing and growth.

• Monitor client progress by regularly reviewing treatment plans and adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care that addresses both mental and physical health concerns.

• Assist in managing and preventing behaviors that could hinder recovery, providing education and support to clients and their families.

• Stay informed about the latest trends in psychotherapy and mental health practices, incorporating evidence-based approaches in your counseling.

• Manage timely follow-ups with healthcare providers for clients experiencing hospital admissions, ensuring continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on adult clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. As a Remote Licensed Professional Counselor, you will engage with diverse clients from various backgrounds, empowering them to navigate life’s complexities through compassionate support and professional guidance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A proven record of previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a solid understanding of psychotherapeutic principles.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for documentation and case management.
\n
• Knowledge of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, alongside familiarity with addiction recovery practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications and the managed care process.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals in a clear and empathetic manner.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
