Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort working a rotating schedule in an acute care environment
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Previous charge experience not required, but strong teamwork and communication skills are valued

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond to changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and support treatment plans with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Support same-population patient care as needed in related units and maintain flexibility in a dynamic hospital environment
• Document care thoroughly and follow established clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital procedures
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a patient-centered approach throughout the travel nursing assignment
