Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, seeks a Neurologist specializing in epilepsy services. The position is a clinical instructor rank for one year. Primary focus will be clinical outpatient care, including the epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) and research, with academic responsibilities that may include teaching residents and medical students. Essential Functions Provide broad-based patient care in the specialty, including inpatient and outpatient practice. Precept medical students and/or residents, providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the COM or residency curriculum. Act as liaison between residents and attending physicians at UCMC, CCHMC, and VAMC. Supervise clinical duties, administrative functions and other activities determined by the program director and senior faculty. Coordinate and triage outside admissions to UCMC medical teams. Serve as on‑call physician for UCMC, VAMC, and CCHMC medical services 365 days per year. Mentor residents as they progress through training. Create and maintain academic curricula, including academic half‑day, morning report, and advanced ambulatory practice conferences. Participate in hospital and medical school committees as appropriate. Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description may change at any time. Required Education Professional degree – MD, DO, or equivalent. Current Ohio medical license by date of hire. Successful completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in neurology.
