Accounting Manager

Salary: $125k to $135k plus bonus, Excellent Benefits Position Overview We are seeking a proactive Accounting Manager who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, identifying opportunities for improvement, and building scalable accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Establish, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to create a scalable and efficient accounting function. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that strengthen accounting operations. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives. Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Evaluate accounting systems and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and support future growth. Support special projects and contribute to the continued development of the finance organization. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience is strongly preferred. Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with approximately 5–10 years being ideal. Demonstrated success improving accounting processes and establishing scalable policies and procedures. Experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals.
