Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Patrol in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures verifying identification and following assigned security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points process authorized admissions and help to deter unauthorized access within a government location through attentive screening and documentation practices.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing for unusual activity unsecured areas and/or policy violations while following post instructions.
• Maintain accurate visitor contractor and/or vehicle logs issue credentials as directed and communicate access-related information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
