Job Overview: Pay Range: $18.00hr - $21.00hr Requirement/Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience at a credit union or bank as a Teller.
• Previous cash handling experience at credit union and/or bank.
• Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
• Ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use basic math skills and spell accurately up to a high school graduate level.
• Ability to deal calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization.
• Demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
• Ability to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines, requirements for extreme accuracy, and a fast pace.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
• Ability to exercise highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
• Compliance with policies and procedures, rules and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Controls.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with procedures.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of each day and compare totalled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet.
• Serve as the face of the organization with a general understanding of processes, products, and services.
• Greet and welcome members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, and examine for proper endorsement.
• Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and member balance.
• Promote and explain other services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates, and money orders.
• Receive consumer loan and other payments, ensuring payments match balances due.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Process mobile deposit submissions according to procedures and place proper extended holds.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Report any discrepancies to the manager as necessary.
• Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms and supplies.
• Report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
• Check night depository bags and record proper information on required forms.
• Review and process member contact information on accounts according to procedures.
