• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
• Orientation: Onsite orientation required 1 day prior to the first scheduled shift
• Charting System: Meditech
• Patient Volume: Average of 36 patients per day
• Admissions: Approximately 3 per shift
• Support Staff: ED Physicians and ED RNs
• Travel/Lodging: Provided if needed

Job Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license and advanced practice provider credentials
• At least 1 year of emergency medicine experience or experience in a similar acute care setting
• Board certified or board eligible
• BLS certification required
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan is required
• Comfort working in a high-acuity emergency department environment
• Must be able to complete credentialing requirements within the stated timeframe
• Fellowship not required

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage for patients of all ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute conditions in the emergency department
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical support team members
• Perform patient assessments, admissions, and ongoing care as needed
• Document care accurately in Meditech
• Deliver efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Participate in onsite orientation and follow department workflows
• Support continuity of care during scheduled coverage dates
