Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound evaluations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and superficial part examinations
• Prioritize patient comfort and ensure safety throughout the examination process, communicating with sensitivity and clarity
• Work hand-in-hand with radiologists and referring clinicians to produce accurate and reliable diagnostic images
• Efficiently operate and uphold the imaging technology while promptly addressing any equipment malfunctions
• Document all procedures meticulously and maintain patient electronic health records
• Stay well-informed about the latest advancements in ultrasound methodologies and practices

Education Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Valid certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent authority
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is considered advantageous
