The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at our organization is in search of a dynamic, skilled, and collaborative leader to take on the role of Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division. This position is pivotal in enhancing the clinical, educational, and research objectives of the MFM Division while nurturing a culture of excellence, teamwork, and academic success. The role presents a remarkable chance to lead a developing division within an academic medical center and health system partnership, broadening perinatal services and high-risk pregnancy care throughout the region. The selected candidate will report directly to the Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and will work closely with the leadership of the Women's Health Service line to meet both local and system-wide goals and initiatives.

• Provide strategic guidance and leadership for the MFM Division, ensuring alignment with the priorities of the department, medical school, and health system.
• Supervise and support the clinical, educational, and research functions of the division.
• Design and implement innovative programs aimed at improving patient care, faculty development, and the education of residents and fellows.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and staff within the division.
• Ensure adherence to all institutional, state, and national regulations as well as accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with hospital and health system leadership to enhance maternal and fetal care delivery across various locations.

• Oversee the provision of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-focused perinatal care, including consultations for high-risk pregnancies, fetal therapy, and prenatal diagnostics.
• Develop and expand clinical services in maternal-fetal medicine, including outreach programs and telemedicine initiatives.
• Work alongside general obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to improve multidisciplinary perinatal care.
• Collaborate with nursing and other health system departments to meet key performance indicators.
• Engage in clinical care, maintaining an active presence in both inpatient and outpatient services within the division.
• Oversee quality measures, patient experiences, and outcomes for the program.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing departmental productivity and financial performance.

• Provide mentorship and oversight for MFM faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Direct and enhance the MFM fellowship program, ensuring a comprehensive curriculum that meets ACGME accreditation standards.
• Contribute to medical school education through lectures, workshops, and simulation training.

• Encourage and support clinical, translational, and basic science research within the division.
• Promote collaboration on research projects between the division, department, and institutional research centers.
• Motivate faculty and trainees to engage in scholarly activities, including publications and presentations at national conferences.
• Secure external funding to support research and innovation in perinatal care.

A medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) is required. Candidates must hold board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with subspecialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Eligibility for medical licensure in New Jersey is necessary. A minimum of five years of experience in maternal-fetal medicine, including expertise in ultrasound and invasive MFM procedures, is required. Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic environment is essential, with a preference for those who have led multidisciplinary teams and fostered interdepartmental collaborations. A strong track record of clinical excellence, research accomplishments, and dedication to education is expected; candidates with experience in securing extramural research funding are preferred. Experience in program development, faculty mentorship, and collaboration with health system leadership is also desirable. Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and population health strategies in perinatal care is a plus.
