You will draw on day-to-day commercial contracting practice, reviewing agreements, marking up drafts, and applying company policies as in-house counsel would. This is an intermediate-level contractor role for candidates based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada. The expected project duration is 3 to 6 months, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Role: Attorney Engagement: Contractor and part-time Location: Remote; candidates must be based in the US, UK, or Canada Compensation: $90-$130 per hour Expected commitment: At least 20 hours per week Expected duration: 3 to 6 months English proficiency: Native or bilingual What You’ll Do You will review and redline commercial agreements in accordance with established playbooks and policies. The work calls for precise legal analysis, clear written reasoning, and consistent interpretation across the project team. Review and redline MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and similar commercial agreements Identify key issues in contract drafts Determine applicable company positions and acceptable fallback outcomes Write clear explanations for the rationale behind redlines and revisionsApply advanced contract drafting, negotiation, and technology transactions knowledge Collaborate with the project team to maintain consistent standards and interpretations Work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment Maintain meticulous attention to detail and high-quality legal writing Requirements and Qualifications Your legal expertise is the primary qualification for this work; prior experience in AI is not required. Candidates should be able to interpret complex commercial agreements, exercise sound judgment, and communicate legal reasoning in a clear, actionable way. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction At least 4 years of transactional practice at a law firm or as an in-house attorney Experience with contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining Deep familiarity with limitation of liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and data protection provisions Expertise in legal LLM analysis and contract drafting Native or bilingual English proficiencyTechnology transactions expertise is a strong plus Who Should Apply This opportunity is suited to transactional attorneys who are comfortable working with commercial agreements and translating legal judgment into precise written feedback.
