L&D Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The L&D Registered Nurse will play a critical role in the care and support of patients during labor and delivery. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
Monitor patient progress and vital signs throughout the labor process.
Implement and evaluate care plans, adjusting as necessary to meet patient needs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families about the labor and delivery process.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D).
Proficient in the use of EPIC electronic health record systems.
Ability to work 6 weekend shifts per month.
Capable of adhering to a block schedule.
Expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2.
Must possess a valid nursing license and relevant certifications.

Additional Information

Floating between units is not required for this position.
48-hour weekly schedules are approved.
Parking is free in any unrestricted space, with bike racks available.
