This onsite internship provides hands‑on experience supporting the day‑to‑day financial operations of a rapidly growing national organization. As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you'll work alongside experienced accounting professionals while gaining exposure to multiple areas of corporate finance, including accounts payable, month‑end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, cash management, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to apply classroom knowledge in a collaborative, fast‑paced business environment. Participants should be available to work at least 20 hours per week during the academic year , with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during summer and school breaks . What You’ll Do Support Month‑End Close: Assist with monthly accounting activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepaid expense amortization, fixed asset tracking, and account reconciliations. Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, maintain vendor records, assist with payment processing, reconcile vendor statements, and help resolve invoice discrepancies. Financial Operations: Support cash management activities, organize financial documentation, and assist with maintaining accurate accounting records. Reporting & Analysis: Help prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation used by the accounting team during monthly close and ongoing business operations. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Gain exposure to other Shared Services departments including Human Resources, IT, Safety, Risk Management, and Operations to better understand how finance supports the organization. What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Completed at least two years of coursework (preference given to students entering their junior or senior year) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment Eagerness to learn and contribute within a fast‑paced, growing organization Preferred Qualifications Experience with Sage Intacct or another ERP/accounting software Previous internship, work experience, or coursework involving accounting principles, bookkeeping, or financial reporting Familiarity with journal entries, reconciliations, or financial statement preparation Why Join FusionSite?
