Accounting Assistant

Position Overview We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting operations. This role includes responsibility for cash processing, accounts receivable, and general accounting support, along with exposure to month-end close activities. This position is best suited for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to grow into a more advanced accounting role over time. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process bank deposits with full supporting documentation Apply customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records Assist with collections and customer account follow‑up Enter invoices and support accounts payable processing Upload ACH and positive pay files to banking platforms Prepare account reconciliations and support month‑end close Maintain organized and audit‑ready financial documentation Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Qualifications 2+ years of accounting, accounts receivable, or accounts payable experience required Associate’s degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s preferred) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles‑Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to work with formulas and large data sets) Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Business Central or similar preferred) Demonstrated accuracy, organization, and ability to meet deadlines What We’re Looking For Someone who takes ownership and follows through High attention to detail with minimal supervision required Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn Team‑oriented mindset with a professional approach What We Offer Growth opportunity within the accounting function Exposure to core accounting processes and month‑end close Stable, team‑oriented work environment Competitive compensation and benefits Note: This is an in‑office role based in Greenfield, WI.
