Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment serving students on the western side of Wake County as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This is a full-time, on-site position set to begin 30 days from offer, offering the opportunity to work with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in a supportive educational environment. The schedule follows a year-round track, with 37.5 hours per week as standard and a workload model that allows for monthly reassessment.

Ideal candidates are motivated professionals with hands-on experience providing OT services within school settings. Familiarity with the North Carolina educational system and a commitment to high-quality documentation, including ECATS and IEPs, is essential.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid OT license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
• Post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred)
• Prior school-based OT experience required—experience in North Carolina schools is highly valued
• Proficiency with ECATS and demonstrated experience managing IEPs
• Skillful in conducting motor screenings and a variety of OT evaluations within the educational context
• Advanced knowledge of standardized school-based OT assessments, specifically the Sensory Processing Measure-2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting assessment results in educational programming
• Preparedness to obtain an NPI number and register with NC Tracks prior to start
• Ability to pass DCDEE fingerprinting and background checks as required by the district

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions and evaluations aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Thoroughly document therapy services and progress in compliance with district and state guidelines
