Step into a vital role supporting students’ educational growth as a contract Occupational Therapist for a full-time, year-round position located in the western region of Wake County. This opportunity offers the chance to make a true impact by providing essential services across several school sites, including elementary, middle, and high school settings.

Interviews are being scheduled immediately. The position begins approximately 30 days from the official offer date. As a valued team member, you’ll join an innovative school district that utilizes a dynamic workload model, reflecting on individual caseloads monthly to ensure balance and the best support for students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
• Completed post-graduate OT degree (Master’s degree preferred)
• Prior experience working in a school-based setting; North Carolina school experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with ECATS and IEPs; strong documentation and reporting skills
• Required experience with SPM-2 and Sensory Profile 2
• Deep understanding of the application and interpretation of standardized assessments within an educational context
• Must obtain NPI number and register with NC Tracks prior to start date
• DCDEE Fingerprinting and successful district background check required

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct motor screenings and comprehensive OT evaluations, directly linking findings to students’ educational programming
• Interpret and apply assessment results to support individualized educational goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP-directed OT services
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
• Participate in periodic workload discussions to ensure efficient, high-quality support
