Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients and document their mental health state accurately from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through standardized assessments and personal interviews, leading to tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical best practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, addressing diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and trauma recovery.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers to formulate co-treatment plans for complex cases.

• Provide follow-up support for clients when necessary, especially for those who have recently been hospitalized, ensuring a seamless transition to outpatient care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these challenges within the counseling relationship.

• Engage and support family members in understanding and managing their loved one’s mental health challenges through educational resources and counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve a diverse client base comprised of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and trauma-related issues. By utilizing telehealth, you will reach clients who may be underserved or hesitant to seek in-person treatment, providing them a vital connection to professional support.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems is expected; experience with systems like AVATAR is particularly advantageous.

• Knowledge of applicable best practices in mental health counseling, especially those recognized by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mental health counselor, preferably with exposure to both individual and group therapy sectors.

• Previous experience dealing with clients presenting co-occurring disorders involving substance abuse and mental health issues is a strong plus.

• A deep understanding of pharmacotherapy effects on mental health and wellness is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
